Motorola MING A1800 Can Handle Three Numbers At Once?

By admin • Mar 29th, 2008 • Category: Devices, Motorola, Rumors
Motorola MING A1800 Can Handle Three Numbers At Once? We've seen "World Edition" phones that come with domestic CDMA radios and a SIM card slot for international GSM reception. We've seen certain GSM cell phones that come with dual SIM card slots. The next-generation Motorola MING A1800 seems to take it one step further, because it is a CDMA and quad-band GSM device, and it just so happens to have two SIM card slots too. Assuming that my math is correct (1+1+1=?), this means that the A1800 is capable of handling three different cell phone numbers all at once. I'd imagine that there would have to be some sort of ... Nokia E52 Slider Smartphone For Realz?

By admin • Mar 29th, 2008 • Category: Devices, Nokia, Rumors
Nokia E52 Slider Smartphone For Realz? As with most of these kinds of mockups, you have to question the legitimacy of this image. Even so, the styling and the form factor look like they could be right in line with what the Finnish phonemaker would actually do. The Nokia E52 takes on a similar appearance as the existing Nokia E50, but slaps on a slider form factor and an understated sense of business chic to attract the fashionable corporates amongst us. Naturally, the spec sheet is pretty much non-existent on this potentially non-existent phone, but based on what Nokia has done in the past with its business-minded ... (Full Article)

Nokia N96 to get a xenon flash?

By admin • Mar 29th, 2008 • Category: Devices, Nokia, Rumors
Nokia N96 to get a xenon flash? An Esato forum member got Nokia representative to tell him a little secret - Nokia N96 will get a Xenon flash. Here's his/her full post: Ok, this isn't official news, but it's as official as I can get Our Nokia rep, who thinks we're great told me something intriguing today. He's said the N96 hasn't been given the complete green light yet (I'm guessing Nokia wanted to get something that resembles the real thing out in time for MWC). And the delays are due to them adding (at the last minute) a Xenon flash, ala N82! Finally, an all in one phone with almost ... (Full Article)

Nokia to announced N810 with WiMAX at CTIA?

By admin • Mar 29th, 2008 • Category: Devices, Linux, Nokia, Rumors
Nokia to announced N810 with WiMAX at CTIA? Nothing official here folks, but there are strong signs pointing out the Finish giant will announce the new addition to its Internet tablet family of devices, N810 with WiMAX, at the upcoming CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas. We did expected this to come, and at some point we event thought the WiMAX-enabled tablet will be called "N830." Aside from the WiMAX radio, we've no information that the device will have any different specs. More RAM and a better/faster CPU are certainly welcome, but I doubt we'll see that happening. Instead, Nokia just decided to use a new color for the ... (Full Article)

Sprint’s Roadmap shows Palm Treo 800w coming in July

By admin • Mar 29th, 2008 • Category: Devices, Palm, Rumors, Sprint
Sprint's Roadmap shows Palm Treo 800w coming in July Guess we expected this. I don't quite understand why it takes so much time for Palm to release the device with specs that match many of the HTC models.Anyway, the Palm Treo 800w is spotted in the leaked Sprint Roadmap and it should hit the CDMA/WiMAX carrier in July. The new device will replace the 700w model and will be the single most powerful Treo released to date — the addition of autonomous GPS is certainly new for Palm devices. There's also EV-DO Rev A support, WiFi, Windows Mobile 6 and a camera, though there will also be a camera-less ... (Full Article)

Giant Order Points Toward Imminent Arrival of 3G iPhone

By admin • Mar 27th, 2008 • Category: Apple, Devices, Mac OS, Rumors
Giant Order Points Toward Imminent Arrival of 3G iPhone It's coming and it's going to be hot. Word on the street is that Apple has placed an order of 10 million units from some Asian manufacturer and industry pundits are saying this order is for the 3G-equipped Apple iPhone. Gartner analyst Ken Dulaney turned to his "Asian sources" for this information. Think about why Apple would want to suddenly surge up production like that. The iPhone has been out for some time, so there is no reason to think that they would suddenly experience a huge surge in demand. That is, unless this new unit had something very popular to ... Gartner: Apple places 10 million iPhone unit order - Apple preparing for 3G iPhone

By admin • Mar 27th, 2008 • Category: Apple, Devices, Mac OS, Rumors
Gartner: Apple places 10 million iPhone unit order - Apple preparing for 3G iPhone There's another round of hyped-up buzz starting to build surrounding the imminent launch of the next-generation iPhone. The first hardware revision of the Apple iPhone will hit the US market with a 3G radio in tow, among other features - which should appease the masses that have lamented the iPhone's lack of true high-speed data capabilities (although, the iPhone's EDGE data seems to compete with 3G connections due to processing and browser efficiency advantages). We're dying to get our hands on a 3G iPhone, and the latest report indicates that Apple is indeed ramping up production of the second-gen iPhone. Gartner ... (Full Article)
